Scholarship Details:

The Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London is recruiting for a PhD studentship in urban mobility analysis and modeling, who will be supervised by Dr Chen Zhong (primary) and Prof. Michael Batty. The post would suit a student interested in spatial data science, informatics, or any quantitative research in transport geography or urban planning, with good computational skills.

The student will be part of an interdisciplinary research group based at the Centre for Advanced Spatial Analysis, University College London and will work closely with a team funded by an ERC starting grant – realTRIPS.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • Hold a Bachelors degree in an undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline (such as Geography, Geoscience, Urban Planning, Computational Social Science, Computer Science, Informatics, or Mathematics)
  • Have a 2:1 Bachelor’s degree
  • A Master’s degree or other relevant experience would be an advantage.

Scholarship Duration and Reward

  • The Scholarship will cover the full tuition fees of successful candidates
  • There will also be a stipend of £17,983 per annum
