The Hong Kong Government Scholarships is offered to international non-local students who are seeking to study at the Lingnan University, Hong Kong.
The scholarship will cover the costs of tuition, accommodation and living expenses of successfully selected candidates.
Each Scholarship is offered on an annual renewable basis and is tenable for a period of up to the normative duration of study, subject to continued outstanding academic performance.

Scholarship Details:
Lingnan University offers various scholarships to support high-calibre non-local students to pursue full-time UGC-funded (Government-funded) undergraduate studies at the University. Successful applicants will be awarded one of the following scholarships:
• Full Scholarship (covering tuition, hostel and partial academic and living expenses)
• Half Scholarship
• Full-tuition Scholarship
• Half-tuition Scholarship
Each Scholarship is offered on an annual renewable basis and is tenable for a period of up to the normative duration of study, subject to continued outstanding academic performance.
The Scholarship will be awarded subject to availability, successful applicants in Early Round will be notified from January. As such, applicants are encouraged to make their applications as early as possible.
Scholarship Requirements:
To be considered for the scholarship, you must:
- have good academic standing
- have good track record in community services.
- have a degree or a sub-degree awarded by a recognised post-secondary institution; or
- have a Grade E or above in both Advanced Supplementary (AS) Level Use of English (UE) and Chinese Language and Culture (CLC)
- For candidates of comparable academic merits, preference will be given to the candidate with better proven records of community services.

Method of Application
The Scholarship will be awarded subject to availability, successful applicants in Early Round will be notified from January. As such, applicants are encouraged to make their applications as early as possible.
Applicants for self-financed undergraduate programmes are not eligible for scholarships.
For candidates of comparable academic merits, preference will be given to the candidate with better proven records of community services.
The application period for admission is
- 28 September 2021 to 17 May 2022 (Early Round application).
- 17 May 2022 to 28 July 2022 (Late application) Late applicants have a lower chance of being admitted.
No applications will be accepted after 28 July 2022.
