Scholarship Details:

BAU organizes a Global Scholarship Exam (GSE) in Vietnam, Mongolia, Chad, and South Africa in collaboration with the related ministries and partner education institutions. The purpose of GSE is to select highly accomplished students to offer scholarships. Students are awarded 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% scholarships depending on their exam scores.

The GSE Program’s highest aspiration is to educate young people from around the world, contributing to the formation of a new generation of global citizens who share the values of dialogue, tolerance, and collaboration and who are willing to work with others to achieve sustainable development.

The GSE seeks to democratize education by finding the proverbial “diamonds in the rough”-students who, with the benefit of an American liberal arts education, will be able to make significant contributions to the world.

Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the scholarship, you must:

  • Be international students
  • Have taken the GSE Scholarship test in their countries
  • Enroll in full-time program
  • Have evidence of English Language proficiency
  • Partake for Global Scholarship Exam (GSE) in Vietnam, Mongolia, Chad, and South Africa

Scholarship Duration and Reward

  • The top 100 student scores are eligible for scholarship with the top 5 students earning 100% scholarship.
  • Students are awarded 25%, 50%, 75% and 100% scholarships depending on their exam scores.

Required Documents

To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;

Undergraduate Programs

  • Copies of high school transcripts (must be in English)
  • Completed Online Application Form
  • Photocopy of government-issued ID (international students need a passport or undocumented students need proof of residency)
  • Application fee $45
  • International Students Additional Documents
  • Bank statement show proof of adequate financial resources
    • Sponsorship letter (if bank statement is not in applicant’s name).
    • If the applicant has any dependents, passport copies and additional materials as necessary.
  • Proof of English language proficiency*
  • Official Transcript
  • If the high school degree was issued by a foreign institution of higher education, the applicant must provide an evaluation of the transcript from a NACES-member (http://www.naces.org/) or an AICE member (http://www.aice-eval.org) credential evaluation service to establish U.S. equivalency of a high school degree. The evaluation must be a course-by-course evaluation of the transcript.
  • If the high school degree transcript is not in English, the applicant must provide a certified English translation.
  • If the transcript does not clearly indicate the degree awarded, the applicant must provide a notarized copy of the high school diploma.

Method of Application

  • The student registers for the Exam.
  • The student takes the 2-hour exam.
  • The top 100 student scores are eligible for scholarship with the top 5 students earning 100% scholarship.
  • The student is emailed their scholarship offer if within the top 100 scores.
